I wrote earlier this month that I am not a dance mom, but today I had my second attempt. Sophia had her first dance completion. While it was an extremely long, it was totally worth it!
Hair and makeup went much smoother. Maybe because we had a practice run already? Maybe because we didn’t have to be up and moving so early? Whatever it is, Sophia said it wasn’t so bad.
Watching Sophia with her friends, was priceless. She had so much fun, from getting ready to dancing on stage to watching the performances, she loved it all! And it was so fun to see her on the stage, dancing her heart out!
But the best part, by far, was when we got home. She stood on her chair, gave me a hug, and said, “I am glad I got to spend the day with you.” Priceless!

I am a dance mom. My daughter is a senior this year, and I miss those early dance days. She does not need my help anymore. Those days were always special for us, too. Enjoy them!

What a fun day spent with your daughter. I can’t believe how much makeup and hair prep there is!
New dance mom here. Our first recital was via Zoom in May and it was a complete disaster. I CAN’T wait to see both of my daughters on an actual stage this June!

I recruited my best friend to do the makeup. Another dance mom does the fake eyelashes and another put the clip on earrings on. It is definitely a team effort!
