Missing My Bed

I miss my bed and I would like it back.

For the past three nights, I have not slept in my own bed. If I were on vacation, I would be okay with missing my bed. But, no such luck. I have been in my own house each of these three nights.

I have spent two of those nights in the spare bedroom with Sophia. Waking up in the middle of the night to give her meds has been utterly exhausting. It’s like having a newborn, except without all of the snuggles.

The last of those three nights I spent sleeping in Izzie’s room. She was feeling left out because she didn’t get a sleepover and her sister has had one every night since surgery. I slept through the night which was a plus. But it wasn’t the same as sleeping in my own bed.

I miss my bed and I would like it back.

  1. When I read the tag on the TWT site, I hoped you were vacationing somewhere exciting, but with a lumpy bed. The actual post touched my heart. I, also, hope everyone has a good sleep soon.

  2. At first I thought maybe your girls were invading your bed as used to happen, especially when my little one was sick. Then you explained that you’d been the one traveling in the night. I don’t know which is worse! And in some ways, it’s all the best!
