Mommy and Sophia Time

Having two girls, one-on-one time is rare. So when Sophia and I get time our time together, we enjoy it to the fullest!

Sophia and I continued reading our Secret Mermaid series together in my chaise lounge. Sitting snuggled up together, I loved reading to my little girl. It is not often we have time to read first thing in the morning. She is a great snuggler.

Later in the day, I found some motivation to run and asked Sophia to be my running buddy. She asked if she could ride her bike to which I said, “Of course!” She is one of the best running buddies ever, riding slowly when I was so far behind. She helped me to set small goals that we could both reach successfully. At one point, she parked her bike, hopped off, and ran back to me so we could get to the end of the path together. She is a great motivator.

Baseball was the sport of choice while dinner was cooking. Enjoying the beautiful weather, I “pitched” the ball so she could take some swings. She had some fabulous hits, including hitting me several times. She is a great ball player.

We ended our time together that evening by cuddling up on the couch to watch a tv show. I love when she just sits with me and we don’t have to say anything, but just enjoying our time together. She is my baby girl.
