A Taste of Freedom

I sit, mostly alone, in my office just about all day. Sure, I see people in the hallway and get some waves and I see students on my screen throughout the day. I make it a point to try and walk a lap around the hallway at least once an hour, although sometimes, I forget.

Today, the weather was going to be more springlike. A breeze blew, but the sun shone in the sky and temperatures were on the rise. I had a quick break in between meetings and I really wanted to walk outside. So I walked a bit down the hallway and convinced my friend to walk with me for 7-10 minutes before my next meeting.

And it was lovely! It was so nice to be out and about in the middle of the day, enjoying the spring weather. Three laps around the outside of the school and lots of talking while walking. Such a great break in the midst of a long day!
