Supermom

I have a super power. But shhh, don’t tell! I am a supermom.

Today was another day of running around, no different than the rest of the week. But it is catching up with me and I am forgetting things more than I usually do. Today was day 2 of getting the girls and me out the door by 7:00am. Luckily, both girls woke up on their own which was helpful. We made it our by 7:09am. Not as good as yesterday, but it worked!

I worked all day. Not unusual right? But I also found time to order yearbooks for the girls and upload their virtual learning pictures. I emailed Izzie’s teacher about reading to her class. I figured out what makeup needed to be bought for Sophia’s dance team showcase weekend and snuck in a quick tutorial on applying the makeup during lunch. I ordered an earring converter kit. Don’t ask, I didn’t know what that was either until today. I touched based with Kate about picking up the girls after school.

When the work day ended, I drove to the doctor’s office. I chatted with my sister on my way and enjoyed the sunshine. Thankfully, the appointment was quick and painless. I made my way to Kate’s house to pick up Sophia. We then drove to pick Izzie up from gymnastics. We were early, so Sophia did some reading.

After picking Izzie up, we filled her in on the plan. We would go to Jewel to order the cake for Izzie’s birthday this weekend. We would also find the makeup that Sophia needed for Saturday. Once we got home, the girls would take a shower while I made the pizza. Then we would have a picnic. And that is what we did, in addition to a load of laundry.

So you see, I have a superpower. I am a supermom with supergirls.

Ready for our picnic!

  1. Supermom, indeed! Smart of you to chronicle your productive day, to go back and celebrate whenever you feel differently.
