Summer Recharge

One week of summer break is in the books! Vacation Bible School for the girls, reading and puzzling for me, lots of family time, and time to think about things one wants to accomplish. My blog, a place to write and share my thoughts, has sat idle for almost two months. For someone who found she loves writing, I sure do have a funny way of showing it!

I have been grappling with what I want this blog to be… a place for all things books and writing? … a place to share about daily life with the girls?… a place for the randomness that sometimes happens?…all different directions, yet not sure which path or paths to take.

For me, summer is a time to recharge, pushing away the past school year, enjoying family time, and focusing on the things that make me happy. Reading makes me happy, so I always have a book. But, this spring, I also learned that writing makes me happy. Yet, I do not take the time to write nearly as often as I would like. Why? Maybe because it is more difficult to pull out a pen and paper? Maybe because I feel embarrassed as I start to write? Whatever the reason, I need to change my mindset.

So, while I do not know where this blog will take me, I hope you will continue along on my journey. One thing is for sure, as part of my summer recharge, I will be writing!
