Mom and Daughter Date Part 2

Yesterday, I took one of my daughters for a mommy daughter date. Today I had the chance to be the daughter and have a special date with my mom. I finally took her to Board and Brush for her Christmas present.

We had chosen this date so we could enjoy some mimosas while creating our projects. My mom had never done anything like this before, and I had only been there once before. But we were both excited!

When we arrived, we found our spots and settled into our area for the next several hours. We looked around at the many signs hanging on the wall. It was fun watching my mom take in her surroundings.

Soon the workshop was underway. My mom and I worked side by side creating the individual projects that we had selected. From distressing our boards to choosing our stain colors, we were enjoying the time together.

It wasn’t long before we completed our projects and it was time to head home. I don’t often get to spend time with just my mom these days. Our lives have are busy and full of various commitments. It made this time that much more special to me and I grateful to have had this time with my mom. A mom and daughter date was a great way to start spring break!

  1. This is what we did for my daughter’s birthday party and we are already planning a day to go back with my sisters. I live in Oswego, and that’s the one we went to! Neighbors 🙂
