Slice of Life March Challenge

Today marks the first day of the Two Writing Teachers Slice of Life Challenge. I have never done anything like this but am giving it a go this month. I am committing to writing 31 blog posts for this challenge. I don’t have them all planned out or even ideas that I am thinking about writing. But one thing I can promise you is that I want to commit to writing more consistently and what a great way to do so!

Each day I will be sharing a small slice of my life with you via this blog. I look forward to writing and sharing these slices with you each day. Maybe they will spur a memory in your mind. Maybe they will spark an interest in writing. Maybe you will laugh. Maybe you will cry. But I truly hope that you enjoy a peek into my life.

Wish me luck as I embark on this challenge! I look forward to sharing with you throughout the month of March.

  1. Welcome to the challenge! There are days when you’ll think you’re crazy for doing this, and at the end you’ll miss it like crazy! Advice? Don’t beat yourself up or quit if you miss a day. It’s NBD!

  2. Welcome! I started blogging exactly like this last year & it has truly become a wonderful part of my life. May this month be fulfilling (and challenging). Looking forward to reading more of you! (Also, great blog name!)

  3. Welcome! I hope you have fun Slicing with us. It really is addictive. This is my 3rd year and I wouldn’t miss it. I’m with Amanda (above). Your blog name really caught my eye. If it wasn’t snowing out, I sure would like to be curled up with a stack of books on my porch. Happy Slicing! — Christie

  4. Bravo to you for joining in the Challenge! Last year was my first year, and I’m happy to say I made it to the very end. I gleaned slice ideas from lots of other slicers, so you might try that when you feel like you need inspiration. All the best!

  5. Welcome to the Challenge! Last year was my first year, and I had a blast. There’s something magical about going through your day as an observer and then reflecting and sharing about that one moment. Have fun!

  6. Welcome to #SOL19! I think you’ll be amazed at how slices will begin to seek you out. This one is perfect, as it captures exactly what is right in front of your nose. Thanks for sharing!

  7. Welcome to #SOL19! I am always amazed at how differently I look at my day when I am writing. I think I just ‘see’ things and I am much more present in my day. It will be a good month! Look forward to seeing more of your posts!

  8. My first time as well, and I have enjoyed following and reading blogs of newbies at this. Feel just like you. I’m looking forward to crying or laughing, and taking a peek into your life.
